New EU Season

14 February 2019 (02:36) by Gamemaster Ninja

Archlight European Season Releases
February 15th 10:00am PST / 1:00pm EST / 18:00 GMT / 20:00 CEST

Our Promise

Archlight has now been online for nearly 4 years. Including the first beta it has been up for over 4 years! Since day 1, we have always garanteed that every dollar you spend on Archlight you will receive back in the event of a new Season! Our team will always keep this promise to every single player of Archlight. As in past Season's, points will be rolled out to ensure that the economy isn't destroyed by a dumping of Archlight Coins. At the bottom of this post you can view our standard point release schedule.

Heirloom Points For Last Seasons Progress!

All Accounts have received Heirloom Points for their past season progress!
Accounts receive Heirloom Points based on their strongest character on their account. For every Achievement Point, you receive 1 Heirloom Point. As well, you will receive additional Heirloom Points based on your characters Awakening Level & Total Power based on the following scale.

Awakening Levels
1-500 = 1 Heirloom Point Per 100 Levels
501-1000 = 2 Heirloom Point Per 100 Levels
1001-1500 = 3 Heirloom Point Per 100 Levels
1501+ = 5 Heirloom Points Per 100 Levels

Power
2001-5000 Power = 1 Heirloom Point per 500 Power
5001-8000 Power = 2 Heirloom Point per 500 Power
8001-10000 Power = 3 Heirloom Point per 500 Power
10001+ Power = 5 Heirloom Point Per 500 Power

When a season ends, you will receive all of those heirloom points immediatly on Launch for the next season, as well, half the heirloom points earned will be added to your heirloom points total, these are also received every new season! So even multiple seasons later, you are benefitting more and more for your past progress on Archlight! While new players enjoy new seasons, you will always grow stronger from past play despite a fresh start!

As well, you will receive heirloom points based on progress on another server if you link your account! More info below in Account Linking

Heirloom Points & Heirloom Perks
All Legacy Points have been converted at a 30 > 1 ratio to Heirloom Points. These function the same way as Legacy Points previously has. Heirloom Points can no longer be used to purchase direct items (stat stones, legendary stones, etc) but can now purchase Heirloom Crates, which not only have all of these items inside them, but also Heirloom Perks, which can be used to permanently strengthen your character for the entire era! A character can only redeem 1 of each Heirloom Perk, however they can redeem as many Unique Heirloom Perks as available.

Boss Stages & New Mechanics
Our major focus for the new European season was improving all the current content, as we actually have an insane amount of content, alot is just fairly 1 dimensional. Most of the story bosses, and world bosses, now have different stages and more unique mechanics, making them more thought provoking and challenge oriented.

Account linking
Many of you have already seen, but you are now able to Link your NA & EU accounts with eachother! To do so, simply login to your account on the website, and hit the Link Account button! By linking your account, you will receive heirloom points on both accounts in the event of a new season! Additionally, we will have cross-server limited editions that will be available for both your accounts if purchased on one account!

Keeping the Meta Changing and Fresh.

A New Gem has been added, which has both essence find and loot luck.
Forest Gems has received cooldown reduction to accompany attack speed giving mages a more viable dps endgame. Our plan moving forward is to keep each season unique and fresh by introducing small things to change the standard meta.

New player experience improved - New Information Windows
It was important for us to improve the new player learning process come the new season. With the new notification system, we have also added over 3 dozen tutorial images that explain the vast majority of primary systems on Archlight! For many of you this wont be important, but for the large amount of new players we have every season, this will better teach those players so they are not bombarding help chat or quitting due to confusion/being overwhelmed!

Soulbound Exchange Tokens
[size=120]You can now purchase a soulbound exchange token for 1 living token, allowing you to exchange a soulbound Backpack or Trinket for their living tokens back.

Guild window
We now have a full UI for Guild Management! This will allow much better control of your guild within Archlight as well as has many new features for guilds and guild leaders to enjoy!

Upgrade Capps and Chance Changed
Upgrade Tiers are now the same as NA, however the dificulty is slightly higher, NA will receive the same changed in it's second season, making the max upgrade on equipment and weapons to +40. Rune & Soul upgrading capp has been changed to +20 and the chance on higher tiers has been very slightly lowered.

Progression Tokens
Players will now receive progression tokens as they level up (more frequently at lower level, however you will receive them from late game progression as well). These tokens are soulbound, and allow you to win a random amount of Boost Points.

New Hotkey Window
We have implemented a massively customizable new hotkey window, allowing you to customize every key used on Archlight!

Patch Notes

16 January 2019 (00:05) by Gamemaster Ninja

January 19th Patch Notes

~~Feat Tasks~~
Now requires any type of spirits/phantoms/wraiths
Now requires 2 of any of the 5 world bosses

~~Refreshing Amulet~~
Now regenerates 0.5% hp and 0.4% mana every 2 seconds (compared to 2%/1% previously) now based on max health/mana rather than base.

~~Class Balances~~
Archer:Snaring Shot paralyze is now 100% stronger and also lasts an additional 1 second (1 > 2) - movement speed change made that paralyze non-existant.

Bard
Lulaby's paralyze is now 50% stronger and also lasts an additional 1 second (1 > 2) - same reason as snaring shot.

Corsair
Flask and Bottle of Rum both buffed by 15% (Corsairs were healing as much as Archers but have 15% more hp, hence the buff)
Soul Rune no longer requires a target as it is pretty silly to have an AoE rune require a target.
Quick Draw buffed by 67% (Corsairs lacked a filler ability (considering their high cooldowns) that is worth using compared to every other vocation)

Necromancer
Ravenous Fiend range changed to 2 (from 4) so they can make a use of their AoE
Demonic Blood and Bonefiends have been buffed by like 300% because their damage was similar to the summons from level 150.
Witch's hourglass has been buffed by 92%~ but the amount of halved has been halved, this has been changed to match the new regen system (the damage was simply too slow to match the big regeneration numbers) and give more of a "wow" factor for necro players.
Reaper's touch has been buffed by 94%~ but the amount of rounds has been halved. Same reason as above.
Necromancer Soul Runes (t1 and t2) have been buffed by about 92%~ but the amount of rounds has been halved. Same reason as above.

Sorcerer
Change Eruption to shoot 25% faster for more consistency
You can now use the rune freely without the need of a target.

Berserker
Exura ico nerfed by 25%
Life Steal nerfed by 25%
Blood Sense nerfed by 50% (from +60% to +30%)
T1 Soul rune nerfed by about 18%
T2 Soul rune nerfed by about 21% (its still superior to t1, nothing to worry about)

Druid
Fixed the bug where the target would be able to dodge the rune. It now requires a target.

Mages
Evocation has been buffed by 15% (Mages sustain went down by quite a bit since NA is limited to +40)

~~Crafting Changes~~
All crafting professions have received the next tier of crafting.
Cooking has received relic stones for awakened stones (1:5)
Alchemy has received ancient stat stones for large stat stone (1:8)
Tanning has received relic soul stones for awakened soul stones (1:4)
Blacksmithing has received relic rune stones for awakened rune stones (1:4)

~~Game Changes~~

Progression Tokens
Players will now receive progression tokens as they level up (more frequently at lower level, however you will receive them from late game progression as   well). These tokens are soulbound, and allow you to win a random amount of Boost Points.

Boost Points
You can now purchase solo/greater dungeon charges as well as +6 hours stamina with boost points.

Tasks
Addon task names has been renamed

Refresh Amulet
Its healing capabilities will be based off your maximum health and mana instead of their base values. Because of this change, their regen % has been adjusted to remain balanced.

Dove Mode
Has been re-enabled again, however with an additional change, now if you are targetted in pvp, you will not be able to run through any player.

Corsair Gun Cards
Fire card will now make the Corsairs attacks hit a small AOE
Created Cards will no longer go straight to your main backpack but instead prioritize guns if they have any room

Lottery
Increase the timer from 1 minute to 10 minutes to allow for more players to participate
Broadcasts will be sent to Discord from now on

Link Copy Warning
A window will popup whenever you try to copy a text message that contains a blacklisted phrase, such as a bitly link (which some use to attempt to trick gullible people into inputting their account information)

Coming Soon™
A cloud is growing…
Spreading…thickening…
The shadow of the Ashen is feeding off the crimes of the villains of Archlight.
The ancestors of our world held their tongues. They dared not speak of the eclipse that almost consumed the land ten thousand years ago…until now.
All the greed and murdering of Archlighters has weakened an ancient barrier sealing off a fiendish temple. For that vile place…is a gateway to the parallel world of Dusklight. The Ashen are rising from the depths of all the pain and suffering…
…And the Heart of the Thousands won’t stop until Archlight is consumed by eternal darkness.

Referral Program Improved!
Our referral program has been used by multiple thousand people on Archlight North America alone. Through this, we received alot of feedback on potential ways we can improve the system, we listened, and we improved! The biggest concern was that if someone would donate $20 under your referral code, and then later donate $80, you would still only get the coins from the first $20 donation. We have changed this, where now anytime someone donates a larger amount than their previous, you will also gain the difference in coins as well!

Additionally, we have increased the amount of referral coins received when someone you refer donates from 10%, to 50%! So if someone donates for 7420 coins, instead of receiving 742 coins, you will receive 3710 coins!

And finally, we have also added a link that you can simply copy from your myaccount panel and send that to friends to use, or put in your youtube/twitch description or title for users to use!

So get out there referring, and enjoy all the free coins that come with it!

Mentee/Mentor Tokens
One concern we always have on Archlight is newer players joining, and having dificulties finding a team for low level quests, once majority of the playerbase has gotten to higher level of content.

Players will now receive mentee tokens (specific to each story quest, example - Mentee Token - Heroes Quest) as they progress through Archlight.

This player can right click to use the token, by doing so it will let them input a player name.

Now, when that player (the player who's name was inputted into the token) uses the quest box at the end of the respective quest the player that has his name in the token will receive a several Mentor Tokens (amount based on which quest) for their help and the mentee token will be consumed.

These Mentor Tokens can be used to purchase Shop Mounts & Stamina Refillers!

27 December 2018 (00:35) by Gamemaster Ninja

Coming In Tomorrow's Patch

Flaming Skull Aura

(Available on NA Only Currently) (3 Color Variations Available) (8 Living Tokens)
Flaming Skull Aura has a passive bonus of +10 Skill Value & +1% Hp/MP

Broadcast "Mail" Button Added to Client
We have noticed that many important broadcasts by our staff get missed, this is normal, its a small text on the screen, players may be idle, or busy questing etc and miss the broadcasts. We have added a small mail icon on the UI bar that will allow players to see when we broadcast an important message (we decide whether the broadcast will be added to the mail UI or not, only important broadcasts will be added to it). Things like announcing a reboot, as well as when we disable a certain system for bug fixing, or address a concern, will be broadcasted in such a way that they are also sent to peoples mail, so they can read/review the message that they may have missed.

Coming On December 22nd

Class Balances (Necromancer & Corsair Buffs)

New Player Notification & Tutorial System
Currently, new players receive popup text notifications as they level up, that give them little information to help teach them about Archlight. These messages frequently are missed or unnnoticed and newer players rely on asking very simple questions frequently in the help channel, or worse, quit due to confusion. Now, when a player advances, they will receive a brief flash of a notification, in which they can click a notification button on the top left of their client (Much like how World Of Warcraft, or other large MMORPG's do this), that will not only include information and tips for those players, but also include the items they previously obtained automatically into their backpack, allowing us to give players crafting tools, as well as information on how they work all in 1 panel for their review & learning.

Mentee/Mentor Tokens
One concern we always have on Archlight is newer players joining, and having dificulties finding a team for low level quests, once majority of the playerbase has gotten to higher level of content.

These Mentor Tokens can be used to purchase Shop Outfits, Mounts, and more.

Additionally, We have decided we will be delaying some of the newer content we planned to release before Christmas (Heroic Quests & The New Ramparts) so we can instead continue to put our focus into bug fixes, balances, and overall improving game flow for newer players.
